Are you Blind?
An MLS soccer team in any major metropolitan area in the U.S. would undoubtedly be successful. So why is MLS so timid with its expansion? The answer: they're blind. They apparently lost their ability to see in the 1970's when soccer was a second class sport valued somewhere between bocce ball and bat mitten.

Soccer has undergone massive growth that can be attributed partly to the fact that it has been the number one recreation sport for boys and girls in the U.S. for the past twenty years. And an overwhelming number of soccer fans and players are entering adulthood and creating an illustrious market for Soccer. The World Cup finals in 2006 proved the prolific nature of the U.S. soccer market when it received more American viewership than the World Series that same year.

The MLS's sluggish expansion is injurious to soccer in America; they have the infrastructure but not the cajones( pardon the expletive) to build on it. Therefore, the MLS should do one of two things to display some fortitude or vision:

-          Allow expansion teams to enter yearly, not two per decade.

-          Merge with another professional league (like USL).

With so many deserving cities vying for professional teams, it's unfair and counterproductive to deny any of them the chance to have a pro-team especially when they would all be assuredly successful.

Miami Soccer Fans Welcome Potentially World Class Cuban Talent

Wow, could we have received better news just one month before the season starts. Miami FC may be receiving up to seven new Cuban players that recently defected after standing toe-to-toe with America's finest in the U-23 Olympic qualifiers. There are also talks of the entire team defecting. Let's evaluate the possibilities:

We recruit all defected players:

This would be outstanding, though highly unlikely due to the fact that we have a full roster and some of the players might not be worth it.

We pick up the three best players:

Jose Manuel Miranda, the goal keeper that held Altidore, Edu and Adu to one goal in 90 minutes this week would be the signing of the season in the whole USL. The second exciting prospect is Yenier Bermudez, a great defender and former captain of the Cuban national team would make a stellar accompaniment with our most recent signing, defender Cristiano Diaz. The third possibility is Roberto Linares, the menacing forward that scored a goal on the US (we'll forgive him if he signs with Miami) in the recent Olympic qualifier. He's a highly sought after player who would assuredly make a great addition to Miami's front line. Roberto has not officially defected, but there is speculation that he might.

Miami FC was scouting these players before they even defected, so you know they will not miss this opportunity to pick up some talent. This is great news for Miami FC and Miami Soccer Fans. Our team and fans are picking up momentum at an incredible rate…be prepared for a great season.

Miami FC Takes the Lead

The Miami MLS expansion project has experienced serious progression the past several months with many potential team investors, but one stands out amongst them as the most dedicated. Traffic Sports, owners of Miami FC and the leading soccer event management company in the North American, Central American and Caribbean region has pronounced its support for an MLS team in Miami since day one.

Traffic Sports investment interest has been downplayed by the popularly held belief that the USL itself is a "sub-standard" professional soccer league that lacks adequate resources for a larger entity like the MLS. The USL having: three decades of existence, a strong contract with Fox Soccer Channel, and teams in 100 cities across the continent in six different divisions, begs to differ. The USL is a strong and adequate pro-soccer league and Miami FC could be the investors we're looking for in the MLS expansion. Recently, Traffic Sports representatives have reiterated their dedication to bringing the highest level of soccer quality to Miami soccer fans. They are currently in talks with the MLS representing our own point of view that Miami is ready for an MLS team.

So come support the team that represents you and the city you love. Miami FC is poised for success this season as they have signed and resigned promising talent. Miami FC is the current pinnacle of soccer prowess in Miami and any true Miami soccer fan should support them.
